Dan Aykroyd is on a quest to bring the Blues Brothers to the small screen.  Along with John Belushi's wife Judy, he is pitching network executives to revive the franchise as a possible tv series.  Judy Belushi owns the rights to her departed husband's half of the franchise.

In  a statement to Variety magazine Judy said, 'I think these are great American characters.  We want to keep them alive.  We chose to introduce them as new characters but do it in a way that they have some history, have some life behind them.'

You might remember that Dan Aykroyd continued the Blues Brothers characters in the movie 'Blues Brothers 2000' which was a flop at the box office.  He has performed with John Goodman in the role of Jake Blues in recent years as well.

Aykroyd continues the Elwood character in his syndicated radio show, 'The House Of Blues Radio Hour', which you can hear every Sunday afternoon at 5 on True Oldies 100.7.  Listen online at TrueOldiesAbilene.com/listen-live

There's nothing quite like the original Blues Brothers performing 'Rubber Biscuit'.  Enjoy:
