Two heartthrobs from the 1960s are set to host the PBS pledge concert.  Davy Jones of the Monkees, and Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits will co-host as well as perform on the show.  The concert was taped earlier this year in Pittsburgh and features Paul Revere and The  Raiders, The Kingsmen, Mitch Ryder, Jefferson Starship, Gary Lewis and The Playboys, Percy Sledge, and Question Mark and The Mysterians.

Davy Jones commented to Vintage Vinyl News, "This special is all about happy, great times. It's music from the '60s generation that my kids and grandkids listen to -- they're into it. This is fun stuff, thanks to PBS."

The special will begin airing on PBS stations December 3rd, but you will need to check the KERA schedule for specific show times in the Abilene area.  (via VintageVinylNews.com)  Check out a video of Peter Noone performing the classic 'Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter':
