Eric Clapton Sells His Guitars
Eric Clapton is auctioning 75 of his personal guitars, several amplifiers, and some clothing to benefit a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility he founded in the Caribbean. He hopes to raise $600,000.

Clapton has auctioned instruments in the past, but this group of guitars is different, in the fact that the prices will be more affordable. A few items might go at a price a true fan can afford.
Among the instruments on the block is a 1920's mandolin banjo that could go for as little as $500-$700. There's also a three piece stage suit by Gianni Versace that could be yours for around $3,000-$4,000.
You can see more detail on the auction here at money.msn.com . The auction takes place at Bonham's in New York later this week. (week of 3/7)
