Graham Nash is celebrating his 70th birthday today (February 2nd, 2012). Nash is one third of the legendary trio of Crosby, Stills, and Nash (and occasionally Young). Crosby, Stills, and Nash could be one of the most balanced groups in the history of rock and roll, with each member contributing equal parts in songwriting, vocals, and guitar. They've each written timeless and legendary songs.

Graham's claims to fame include such songs as 'Our House', 'Teach Your Children', and 'Just A Song Before I Go'. That latter tune was written basically on a dare as Nash was about to board a plane. He was talking to a friend about songwriting and saying that he could basically do it any time and anywhere. The friend said something to the effect of 'OK, write a song write now before you get on this plane'. Nash responded with 'Just A Song Before I Go'. If you want to listen to a fantastic Graham Nash solo album, grab a copy of his 'Songs For Beginners'. It is absolutely stellar throughout.
