Happy 70th Birthday To Monkees’ Peter Tork [VIDEO]

Peter Tork of the Monkees turns 70 years old today [February 13th, 2012).  Peter's role in the group was probably most underrated, since he was the most accomplished musician when the band was assembled for the hit television show.  Tork plays guitar quite well and was also adept at keyboards.

In recent years, Peter has been performing with his own blues band, 'Shoe Suede Blues', and has a few solo shows scheduled for later this year.  Fans may have been surprised at his skills on guitar during the Monkees reunion shows in the late 1980s into the mid 1990s.  Check out a video story from CBS news from last year featuring some great clips of Peter Tork from the 'Monkees' television show!:
