I'm always fascinated by anything haunted and I recently came across an article from Texas Highways. They selected some of the most haunted places in the state, and one was a bridge. Since I know of a few of these areas myself, I wanted to zoom in only on ghostly bridges. So grab your flashlight, and let's explore some of these areas in Texas,

First, we have Goatman's Bridge in Denton. This old iron truss bridge, officially known as the Old Alton Bridge, has plenty of terrifying tales. Legend has it that a goat farmer was hung from this bridge by locals in the 1930s. Visitors have since reported seeing weird lights and hearing unexplained noises. Some even claim to have seen the Goatman himself.

Next, there's the Donkey Lady Bridge in San Antonio. This bridge deals with the tragic story of a woman who was disfigured in a fire, her fingers melting into hoof-like stumps. She's said to haunt Elm Creek Bridge, spooking visitors with eerie screams and apparitions.

Another one to mention is the Maxdale Bridge in Killeen. This old, one-lane bridge comes complete with a ghostly tale. It's said that if you park your car on the bridge, turn off the lights, and wait, you might see the ghost of a hanged man appearing in your rearview mirror.

Wrapping things up we have the Moore's Crossing Bridge in Austin. This historic bridge is haunted by the spirits of those who lost their lives in the floods of the early 1900s. Visitors report strange orbs of light and eerie feelings when walking across this old bridge at night.
