We are officially a week away from Godsmack & Dorothy both returning to El Paso for their "The Rise of Rock" Tour; they’ll be playing a free show at Speaking Rock (for ages 21 & up) on Sunday, September 6th, doors will be opening at 7pm.

This will be the 2nd time that Dorothy will make her return to El Paso but what about Godsmack? How many times have they've been here? As we wait for their returns to the Sun City, let’s look back at every time they’ve performed here in El Paso.

Godsmack has been coming back to El Paso since the early 2000s

The very first time Godsmack came to party in the 915 was in 2001, just after they released their 3rd album, Awake. Godsmack would make their El Paso debut on March 21, 2001 at the El Paso County Coliseum; joining Godsmack was Systematic, Cold & Staind.

Godsmack would return again to El Paso, this time at the Don Haskins Center on June 12, 2003 & the Coliseum on November 16, 2006. Breaking Benjamin & Cold were on the same bill for the 2003 show & Breaking Benjamin/Hourcast joined Godsmack on their 2006 tour.

The last time two times that Godsmack has been to El Paso WAS at Speaking Rock, but instead it was at the Socorro Entertainment Center. They played there on April 27, 2012, which was the first time I ever saw them live).

Their final performance, for now, was as recently as August 1, 2015. In total, Godsmack has been to the Borderland before 5 times since 2001.

With their Sept 6, 2026 show, this will be the first time in over a decade that they've been back to El Paso & will be their 6th time in the 915.

You can see more shows at Speaking Rock on their Facebook page.
