As a parent myself, my world be turned absolutely upside down if my child went missing. It's the fear of the unknown and that is no good when it comes to your child. Adults and children alike right here in Texas go missing every day. What's the solution? To me, getting the information out to the public is a big deal.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is a great organization. Founded in 1984, the organization and its national toll-free hotline (1-800-THE-LOST) have taken in more than five million calls since it's inception. They've also assisted law enforcement in finding more than 376,000 missing children.

The thing I appreciate most about the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is that they're relentless in disseminating information and working with local authorities. That's the key.
