Meow Wolf Brings Immersive, Mind-Blowing Experiences To Texas
Get ready Texas, Meow Wolf, the immersive arts and entertainment complex is coming in 2023 and 2024.
You'll soon be able to bring the whole family to the Grapevine and Houston. The New Mexico company recently announced its two newest locations planning to open sometime in 2023 and in 2024.
The Grapevine location of Meow Wolf will be going in the Grapevine Mills shopping center where a big box store previously resided. In Houston, the new location will be installed in the Fifth Ward, a growing arts and culture district in Houston. I'm particularly excited about this news as my family loves Meow Wolf and it's always a must-stop when vacationing.
MEOW WOLF COMES TO GRAPEVINE AND HOUSTON TEXAS
Meow Wolf, Santa Fe
Until the new locations in Grapevine and Houston are open, the Meow Wolf Santa Fe location is your best bet. It's 7 hours in the car but, trust me, 7 hours is not that bad for not only the beauty of the Santa Fe mountains but for the downright cool experience you'll get at Meow Wolf.
If you get the chance this summer to travel to Santa Fe, it's well worth it. While the Meow Wolf Santa Fe location is a former bowling alley, 2.7 million dollars was used to transform it into an immersive art attraction complete with a concert venue. You'll definitely want to check out the feature attraction the House of Eternal Return. This is a 20,000-square-foot experience you'll not soon forget. I wouldn't want to spoil too much of it for you now. It's something that has to be experienced.
Meow Wolf, Denver
Of course, New Mexico is not the only state you'll find Meow Wolf. Meow Wolf Denver is the largest of the locations boasting 90,000 square feet of arts and entertainment and elevating 30 feet over 3 viaducts. This Meow Wolf location specializes in a host of immersion attractions. Architecture, painting, sculpting, and photography, it's all there.
Meow Wolf, Las Vegas
In 2018, Meow Wolf opened its Las Vegas location. This 52,000 square-foot complex is called Area 15 and features the attraction, Omega Mart. Omega Mart is a multisensory grocery store that blends storytelling, technical magic, and commerce. The exhibition celebrated its one-year anniversary in February welcoming over 1 million visitors.
Before too terribly long you'll be able to add Grapevine and Houston to the list too. I know the summer months are coming up which means vacations and a lot of travel. If you've never been to a Meow Wolf, take my advice, you'll love it. Especially if you're a mom or dad, take the kiddos and watch their faces light up. In the end, you might have more fun than they do.
So, in the coming years when you hit the road to catch the Meow Wolf experience in Grapevine or Houston, make the trip really count. For me, one of the best parts of traveling on the road is making fun stops along the way. Keep scrolling to see some awesome mini-golf courses right here in Texas.
