Our Office Served Up A Good Time At Abilene First Responders’ Picnic
Our office here at the radio station recently proudly stepped up to serve our local heroes at the First Responders' Picnic held at the Abilene Convention Center. Townsquare Media Abilene has a commitment to giving back to the community we call home.
Abilene's premiere group of radio stations headed out to show our gratitude to the brave men and women who selflessly serve and protect our city. In tow was Texas Radio Hall of Fame inductee Rudy "Fearless" Fernandez from KEAN 105, Chaz McGuire from Rock 108, and me, KOOL FM's Brad Elliott. There's only one thing that can happen when you throw some crazy DJs together - a great time.
Our Townsquare Abilene team - including our market president, digital managing editor, and sales consultant - joined the festivities as helping hands. There was quite the spread of burgers, hot dogs, and all the trimmings.
I felt a sense of camaraderie and appreciation. As we served plate after plate, we had the privilege of sharing laughs and shaking hands with the very men and women who respond to emergencies and protect our community day in, day out.
Townsquare Abilene's involvement in the First Responders' Picnic reflects our unwavering commitment to the community of Abilene. To me, it's more than just serving up a meal; it's about recognizing the sacrifices these individuals make and expressing some gratitude.
A small act of kindness can have a huge impact. Our gang looks forward to continuing our support of the dutiful first responders who are the backbone of Abilene's security.
It's no surprise we love being a part of Abilene. Our Cruise Nights are a great way to get out and have some fun with the community.
