Paul McCartney Tops ‘Best Bassist Of All Time’ List

Gibson guitars has released their list of the best bassists of all time, and at the top of the list is Paul McCartney.

Paul generally makes all of the 'top ten' lists, but isn't always in the number one slot.

James Jamerson comes in at number two, and while you may not be familiar with him by name, you've definitely heard his work. He's the bassist with the legendary Motown 'Hitsville USA' band. His bass playing is on almost every major Motown hit from the '60s.
