Ringo Starr is keeping busy.  At 71 years old the former Beatle is about to release his first self-produced solo album, 'Ringo 2012' on January 31st and he's putting together a new edition of his 'All Starr Band' for a 2012 tour.  The new album features Ringo's version of the Buddy Holly classic, 'Think It Over'.

It seems like a sure bet that Eagles' guitarist Joe Walsh will be a part of the lineup, not only because he's played on past tours and albums, but he happens to be Ringo's brother in law.  Of course, if the Eagles tour, there might be a conflict there.  Currently there are no tour dates scheduled, but they will be forthcoming soon.   We'll keep you posted.  Check out Ringo along with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and Joe Walsh performing the Beatles song 'I Call Your Name':  (via Examiner.com)

Joe Walsh has a new solo album coming out too, titled 'Analog Man'. See more here at TrueOldiesAbilene.com/JoeWalsh.
