Robbers in South El Monte, California made a haul yesterday afternoon (July 7th), and got away with about $1 million in cash.

They broke in through the roof of a security company that transports cash for ATM machines. It was definitely a novel approach, and apparently completely caught employees by surprise.

The company, Commonwealth International reported that one of the three suspects was armed. They found employees tied up in a vault and luckily there were no injuries. I guess security at the security company wasn't that good.

It's a rarity for robberies to net anywhere near that much money, or even to attempt it without getting caught. These robbers are still on the loose and as of this writing, police do not have any identifiable suspects. Do you think they got away with it? Or do you think the robbers will get caught in short order? Investigators are working on the case, but so far, they have nothing. (via MSNBC.msn.com)
