'Side Effects' is a psychological thriller not unlike director Steven Soderbergh's previous film, 'Contagion.' This film stars Rooney Mara, Channing Tatum and Jude Law wrapped up in the world of pharmaceutical research and experimentation that can have a devastating effect on people's lives. The film hits theaters in 2013 and you can watch the new trailer now.

If the news is to be believed, 'Side Effects' will be Soderbergh's last live-action film. He has repeatedly said he wants to retire and this could very well be his last film.

The film follows a love triangle between a woman (Mara), her ex-con boyfriend (Tatum) and her doctor (Law), who prescribes her a new anti-depressant that has some startling (wait for it....) side-effects. Originally titled 'The Bitter Pill,' the film was to have starred Blake Lively in the Rooney Mara role until talks broke down and the Oscar-nominated Mara stepped in to take her place.

'Side Effects' hits theaters on February 8th and from the looks of this trailer, provides a nice, little alternative to the romantic comedies of Valentine's Day. Take a look at the 'Side Effects' trailer below.
