REO Speedwagon

Classic rockers Styx and REO Speedwagon -- along with tour mate Ted Nugent -- have come to the rescue once again. The heartland rockers will donate a portion of the proceeds from their current Midwest Rock 'N' Roll Express tour to victims of the recent Boston Marathon bombings.

A successful two-month run in 2012 has lead to more shows together for REO Speedwagon, Styx and Ted Nugent in 2013. The Midwest Rock 'n Roll Express tour will begin again in April, with 20 dates announced through May 19.

When Styx, Reo Speedwagon, and Ted Nugent announced that they were teaming up this summer for the ‘Midwest Rock ‘N Roll Express’ tour, the classic rock gods had to have smiled down from above knowing they had crafted the perfect trifecta.

Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Ted Nugent will hit the road together for a Spring/Summer Tour.   And we've got multiple dates right here in Texas.  From what I can see on Pollstar.com, the various tour dates may feature only two of the three artists.  But it's an enticing lineup just the same, since Ted Nugent and Tommy Shaw are likely to team up for some 'Damn Yankees' songs on stage.

'Hi Infidelity' was a make or break album for REO Speedwagon.  The band had been through numerous previous releases without much chart impact.  And even the rock solid album 'Nine Lives' only reached number 33 on the  charts. At the point in time when REO was working on 'Hi Infidelity', they knew it was their last shot with their current record company.  The band worked with label 'repertoire' exe
