if you've ever dreamed about starting your own business, maybe now is the time and Texas is the place. Recently Texas Governor Abbott revealed that Texas is being named "The Best State for Business in America" by the nationally published CEO Magazine, because of our record-shattering 18-year stretch of small business growth.

Texas was again named the Best State for Business for the 18th year in a row by the nation's leading CEOs in this annual survey that is conducted by the Chief Executive Officer Magazine.

The magazine's rankings are determined by several factors and CEOs' assessments of each state's business. What are some of the factors that are considered to make the list? I'm my opinion we Texans literally dominate all the contributing factors that are taken into consideration.

Texas Is #1 Because We Have A Business Climate, and Skilled Workforce

The things considered were business climate, quality of life, training availability, and skilled workforce. Texas has been at the top for each of the qualifying factors every year since the inception of the rankings.

“Texas has been named the Best State for Business every year that I have been Governor because we have remained steadfast in our efforts to offer a world-class business climate and develop the skilled, diverse workforce in our state," said Governor Abbott. "Texas is the beacon of freedom and opportunity thanks to our competitive business environment, no corporate or personal income taxes, limited regulations, and endless opportunity that allows all Texans to prosper. Texans thrive when our economy is booming, and I look forward to keeping the Lone Star State the best place in the nation to do business."

If you ask me, I think it's a simple fact that we don't have a state income tax, we Texans are not afraid to work hard, we work to make our dreams come true and we mean business in the Lone Star State.
