If you weren’t quite sure what to make of The Boss after that green band trailer debuted, then maybe this new red band trailer will give you a better of idea of what Melissa McCarthy & Co. are up to in her latest comedy. Like the underwhelming Tammy before it, The Boss was also written by McCarthy and her husband, Ben Falcone, and while that has us feeling a bit skeptical, there’s something that feels more lively about this film — or maybe it’s just all that profanity.

McCarthy stars in The Boss as Michelle Darnell (which was also the original title of the film), a disgraced CEO who gets busted for insider trading and sent off to prison. When she emerges, Michelle fights to reclaim her image and rebrand her name, only to find that most of the people she screwed over aren’t ready to forgive her. But she soon finds redemption in an unlikely enterprise, teaming up with a colleague (Kristen Bell) and her daughter for a Girl Scout Cookie-type business.

As you can see (and hear) in the latest trailer, The Boss is very much rated R thanks to a cascade of profanity, mostly in the form of some very creative insults dropped by McCarthy and Kathy Bates — the latter of whom plays Michelle’s former role model. The film also stars Peter Dinklage, Kristen Schaal, Cecily Strong, Margo Martindale and Timothy Simons, and hits theaters on April 8.
