Will Jennifer Lopez Return To American Idol? – Reportedly Offered $20 Million

The rumors are still swirling over whether Jennifer Lopez will sign up for another season of American Idol. All sources point to yes, especially since she's reportedly been offered $20 million for the gig. Steven Tyler will be in his second year of a $10 million per season deal, and now he reportedly wants more money, arguing that he's at least as popular as J-Lo.

Tyler is not likely to get a match of Jennifer's offer, since his contract is a done deal at least for this season. However, they might sweeten the contract a little bit to keep him happy. There's no doubt that Steven Tyler brought an entertaining, quirky, and unpredictable personality to the judges' panel. He was, to my mind, the bright spot in the show this past season.

Furthermore, I don't know if it matters whether Jennifer signs or not. I think the show would be fine with another judge in her place. With Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson locked in for next year, J-Lo is not absolutely a deal breaker.
