46th Anniversary Of The Beach Boys’ ‘California Girls’ [VIDEO]

April 6th marks 46 years since the Beach Boys began recording their smash hit and signature song 'California Girls'. Brian Wilson wrote the music and used studio musicians to lay down the instrumental tracks before even calling in the rest of the band to sing their trademark harmony. Mike Love as usual wrote a good portion of the lyrics. The song reached number 3 on the charts, kept out of the number one slot by Bob Dylan's 'Like A Rolling Stone' at number two, and the Beatles' 'Help' at number one.
