Abilene Dog Park Marks First Birthday

Camp Barkely, the Abilene dog park celebrated its first birthday on Sunday (November 20th) in unexpectedly chilly weather.  Pets and owners showed up to mark the occasion, and the dogs didn't seem to mind the weather as much as their human counterparts.

The dog park, located near the Abilene Zoo, has been a benefit to the community, allowing pet owners to get together for exercise.  And it's great for the dogs to have such a large area to explore leash-free.  It's nice that we have a dedicated dog park in Abilene.  If you get a chance, take your best friend out there for a romp.  You can find out more about Camp Barkely here at theparkpeopleabilene.org.  (via reporternews.com)
