Pink Floyd is flat out denying rumors that they might reunite for the 2012 Olympics.  With the massive 'Why Pink Floyd' reissue campaign, fans have been hoping that the surviving members might play a few reunion shows, but the chances are fading according to contactmusic.com.  That site says, "David Gilmour can confirm that there is no truth in recent media speculation about Pink Floyd reuniting to perform for the 2012 London Olympics."

Several sources as recently as yesterday (January 3rd) were hyping the band's reunion for the Olympics.  It looks as if we'll have to be happy with the new remastered Pink Floyd catalog and the numerous deluxe editions of their classic albums, including several on vinyl.  Check out the band on 'Wish You Were Here' from their last performance together at 'Live 8':
