Should long-time bachelor “roommates” Bert and Ernie tie the knot? LGBT activist Lair Scott thinks so, and he has created on online petition on Change.org which requests that Sesame Street and PBS allow the pair to wed. According to the petition, such a matrimony would help teach kids that homophobia is not OK.

Several of the actors who voice Sesame Street characters are protesting budget cuts to Public Broadcasting. Emilio Delgado (Luis), Roscoe Orman (Gordon), and Bob McGrath (Bob) were in Washington to let congress members know their opposition to the proposed cuts.
