100 year old Fauja Singh completed a full marathon in Toronto yesterday (October 16th), becoming the first centenarian ever to accomplish the feat. Singh is already a record holder, having run seven previous marathons, all after he turned 89.

He completed the 26.2 miles in a little over 8 hours, and was the last finisher. At the age of 100, the fact that he could finish at all is nothing short of amazing.

Singh participated as a torch bearer in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, and said he hopes to do it again for the London Olympics next year. I sure wouldn't bet against him. And if you're having trouble getting motivated to exercise, maybe this story can, in some way, help! Check out the photo of Singh in action. He definitely doesn't have the form of a 100 year old.
