Quick and Easy 4th of July Recipes
July 4th holiday is here! Want to serve something other than hot dogs and hamburgers? Well I just happen to have a few quick, easy and fun ideas to help you out.
Red, White and Blue Strawberries
Strawberries are in season and the ones I've tried lately are super sweet and perfect for summer. These red, white and blue strawberries are simple to make and the kids can even help. It take only 3 ingredients: strawberries, white chocolate and blue sugar/edible glitter. Melt the chocolate in the microwave, dip your strawberry in the chocolate and then in the sugar/glitter. Place them on wax paper let the chocolate harden and you are ready to serve a super cute, patriotic, fresh fruit that everyone will love.
Baked Mac & Cheese
Mac & Cheese is a staple food in my opinion. My grandmother made it for every and all occasions. So what better recipe to make than a big ol' pan of homemade mac & cheese for the 4th of July! This is a family recipe passed down to me so I know it's good!
S'mores Dip
If you like S'mores but don't have a campfire this is the next best thing. You can make a dip in the oven and it's just as good. Be careful though it's addictive!
Caprese Salad
This is so easy. It's refreshing, light and very tasty. All you need are some beautiful red tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil leaves and balsamic reduction dressing. Layer a slice of tomato with a slice of mozzarella and a basil leaf and drizzle with the dressing and eat. It's so simple and delicious.
