John Travolta’s Car Stolen

You gotta watch 'em every minute. John Travolta had stopped by a Jaguar dealership in Santa Monica yesterday and parked his vintage 1970 Mercedes 280 out front. He was only inside for about 10 minutes, but emerged to find the car gone! Now that's a pretty bold car thief.

There's no word as to whether Travolta left the keys inside. The Mercedes in question is valued at between $50,000 and $100,000. And the strangest thing about this story so far is that there are no witnesses to the theft. You would figure that in Santa Monica, at least one....or ten....video cameras might have seen something. So far, no evidence, and no car.

If you steal a high profile vehicle, and that vehicle belongs to a high profile celebrity, you would need to ditch it in a hurry. Any wagers on the car being found later today??? (via msnbc.com)
