The planned 'Justice League' movie has been in a state of constant fluctuation on both the casting and director fronts. It felt like as soon as George Miller got the job helming the project, he just as quickly lost it shortly after news of his lead actor picks came out. While Warner Bros. is still shopping around for the right person to lead the 'Justice League' team, they might at least have gotten one step closer to deciding who should follow in Christian Bale's footsteps as Batman.

Miller originally cast Adam Brody as The Flash, rapper Common as Green Lantern and Armie Hammer as The Dark Knight. While rumors circulated that Ben Affleck, who's currently celebrating the fruits of his labor with 'Argo,' would be taking over directing duties, it seemed that this mock cast was scrapped. Now, Moviehole is reporting that The Hammer (as we're officially nicknaming him) is "back on WB’s radar" for the Batman gig.

It's pretty safe to say we were all a bit floored when the news first arose that Hammer was up for this role, but now that we've seen at least a bit of him in the upcoming 'Lone Ranger' flick with Johnny Depp, our worries have subsided... at least for the moment.

But what about Joseph Gordon-Levitt? Fans of 'The Dark Knight Rises' were stoked to see him in the final scene where he enters the Batcave to presumably become the new Batman. According to Moviehole's source, though, "the Batman in this movie might only be used in Justice League movies."

Also to be cast are the roles of Superman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter, though neither Ryan Reynolds nor Henry Cavill are thought to reprise their superhero roles for 'Justice League.' As we've previously reported, the current rumors report that the world of 'Justice League' will probably be separate from all the other DC hero movies. As for the directors, the current shortlist of candidates are reportedly Brett Ratner ('X-Men: The Last Stand'), Joseph McGinty Nichol ('Terminator Salvation') and The Wachowskis ('Cloud Atlas'). Though, so far no one has been officially napped for the job.

But back to the point, do you think Armie Hammer would make a good Batman? Who else would you like to see star in the 'Justice League' movie? Let us know in the comments.
