With a new album, ‘Living Like a Runaway‘, that was released today (June 19), Lita Ford is thinking of the future. However, there is one aspect of her past that she recently confronted. She ended her long-running feud with Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, with whom she was in the Runaways from 1975-1979.

Ford and Jett hadn’t spoken since the breakup of the Runaways, but, as she told Rolling Stone, “I asked my manager Bobby [Collin] if he’d put in a call to Kenny [Laguna], Joan’s manager, and try to arrange a dinner for us…We had a nice dinner – it was real friendly, like seeing your sister. We talked about old times and Joan gave me Cherie Currie’s contact information. When I was on the West Coast, I had dinner with Cherie.”

So what does this mean about the possibility of a reunion for the Runaways? “I talked to [Cherie] about a reunion, and I talked to Joan about a reunion,” she continued. “I couldn’t really get a solid answer from [Joan]. But I just wanted her to know that I’m here for her, and if she decides she wants to put together the Runaways again, I would be in 100 percent.”

Beginning tomorrow (June 20), Ford will take to the road for a month as she opens up for Def Leppard and Poison.
