Pittsburgh Banks On The Beard In Big Game

There's a good luck charm in the Steelers locker room. It's taken on a life of its own, and its known respectfully as 'The Beard'.

Defensive end Brett Keisel has been growing his beard for 8 solid months, and its a monster. The beard should have its own zip code. He has to comb the mustache out of the way to eat and drink, and complains of hairballs due to the mouthpiece.

The team has become pretty superstitious about The Beard and they're riding it into Dallas. Media day was big for Keisel and he's got a good sense of humor about it all. He says his wife has been incredibly understanding. He was asked if the thought The Beard would win in a battle versus Troy Polamalu's hair. Keisel said his money would be on The Beard.
