Texas Rangers play by play announcer, Dave Barnett, will be out for a few games because of an incident that happened on air that caused many to believe he might have had a stroke.

The Texas Rangers will honor Brownwood firefighter Shannon Stone with a statue at The Ballpark In Arlington.  Stone fell to his death July 7th  at a Rangers game trying to catch a ball thrown into the stands. The Texas Rangers are in the process of raising the height of railings at the Ballpark In Arlington after a fan fell to his death two weeks ago. Brownwood firefighter Shannon Stone fell over a railing trying to catch a ball thrown into the stands.

Nolan Ryan has been hospitalized in Houston with chest pain.  Doctors are currently running tests to determine the cause.  The Rangers said earlier today (July 18th) in a statement that Ryan is 'resting  comfortably and feeling better'.
