Here they come. The Monkees are reuniting and touring for their 45th anniversary. Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, and Peter Tork will start the tour with a series of dates in Europe before scheduling summer dates in the U.S. Once again, Mike Nesmith is sitting out the celebration.

I've actually seen these guys perform four times since the first reunion back in 1987, and they are always a lot of fun. And surprisingly to some, they actually sound great too. Micky Dolenz is a solid vocalist and a pretty good drummer as well. Peter Tork was a good musician when the Monkees were put together for the tv series, and he handles guitar duties.

If the show comes to Texas, make it a point to go see them. You'll leave with a smile on your face guaranteed. Right now the only American date is a show in Vienna, VA on June 19th. We'll keep you posted. (via telegraph.co.uk)
